Standard Rules
Gameplay
- Each player throws 4 bags per round
- Teams alternate throws — one bag at a time
- Must stay behind the front edge of the board when throwing
- Bags that bounce off the ground and onto the board don't count
- Bags can be knocked on or off the board by teammates
Scoring

| Bag on the board | 1 pt |
| Bag off the board | 0 pts |
| Bounced-up bag | 0 pts — remove it |
- Cancellation scoring: only the net difference counts each round
Winning
- First team to reach 21 points wins the game
- Going over 21 — no penalty, score stands (bust rule not used)
Conduct
- Good sportsmanship required — this is a pool party, not the Olympics
- Keep drinks away from the court while throwing
- Disputes settled by a coin flip (or rock-paper-scissors)
- Tournament director's ruling is final
Equipment
- All bags and boards provided by the tournament
- Each team uses one color of bags per game
